Big Rig Truck Overturns in Multi-Vehicle Crash in Sherman Oaks
SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. (Nov. 23, 2022) — A semi-truck overturned in a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on the northbound Ventura 101 Freeway at Sepulveda Boulevard in Sherman Oaks.
The collision occurred about a.m. on Nov. 23rd, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch. The collision involved the big rig truck, a black Toyota Prius, a black Saab and a red and black Dodge Challenger sedan.
The overturned truck, carrying 30,000 pounds of cargo including 600 pounds of flowers, blocked the Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6 lanes of the freeway. Police issued a SigAlert due to the crash.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to help those hurt in the crash.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the three cars with moderate damage and semi-truck from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
