2-Vehicle Crash in Smartsville on State Route Highway 20
SMARTSVILLE, Calif. (Jan. 19, 2022) — A two-vehicle Smartsville crash happened Wednesday on Highway 20 near Poker Flats Road.
The drivers collided about 7:52 a.m. on Jan. 19th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a Volkswagen bug crashed into the back of another motorist due to unknown circumstances. The CHP report did not mention what caused the crash to happen. Paramedics responded due to unknown injuries from the traffic accident in Smartsville. Police did not mention how many people were in the two vehicle or how many are hurt.
The Volkswagen suffered major front-end damage in the collision.
A tow truck removed the Volkswagen from the crash scene.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Smartsville car accident.
