Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 68 in Springtown
MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 14, 2022) — A multi-vehicle Springtown crash on State Route 68 (Highway 68) happened Friday afternoon near Hitchcock Road in Monterey County.
The accident occurred about 12:19 p.m. between two motorists, just south of Salinas, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a reddish brown Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, a dark-colored Ford SUV and a third vehicle, collided due to unknown circumstances.
A male in the pickup truck was conscious and breathing, but was stuck in the vehicle after it became smashed between the other two vehicles, the report said. Paramedics responded to help those hurt, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, two of the vehicles suffered major damage in the crash and required tow trucks.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Springtown crash on Highway 68.
