Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Garbage Truck
GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (April 3, 2024) – Stephen Douglas Sanders, 56, died Tuesday in a motorcycle accident involving a garbage truck in Garden Grove.
The Anaheim man was involved in a crash between his 2023 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a garbage truck just after 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2nd in the 11700 block of Western Avenue, according to the city news reports.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision. Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital where he later died. The Orange County Sheriff-Coroner later identified the victim as Stephen Sanders.
Meanwhile, the trash truck driver stopped his vehicle and cooperated with investigators, police said.
Authorities do not suspect alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
