
Steve McClune, 57, Killed in Hesperia Crash on Summit Valley Road
HESPERIA, CA (May 23, 2023) – Steve McClune was killed after a crash on Summit Valley Road in Hesperia.
The coroner’s office identified the 57-year-old Hesperia man as the victim in the fatal wreck which took place on Monday.
The incident happened when Steve McClune was driving a silver 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander on Summit Valley Road in Hesperia. For an unknown reason, he collided with a white 2019 Chevy Traverse.
2 Injured in Wreck
The cars crashed head-on on Summit Valley Road between Agate and Telephone Canyon roads. Both vehicles obtained major damage due to the impact of the collision.
The Victor Valley News wrote that the accident occurred on May 22 at about 6:47 p.m. near Bandicoot Trail. Steve McClune died at the scene of the crash.
Two other people ended up hurt as a result of the wreck. Paramedics rushed the two patients to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, deputies forced Summit Valley Road to shut down between Ranchero Road and Bandicott Trail for several hours following the accident. The cause of the Hesperia crash is still under investigation.
