Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on I-5 Freeway
STOCKTON, Calif. (Feb. 28, 2024) — A motorcycle rider was injured in a Stockton car accident Wednesday morning on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway near the Fremont Street off ramp.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 8:16 a.m. on Feb. 28th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch report.
A driver in a green Toyota Tacoma pickup truck collided with the motorcycle rider in the middle lanes and the rider went down in the No. 4 lane. The truck came to a stop between the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes of the freeway, police said. CHP officials reported the crash was “possibly on the on ramp to the southbound” lanes of the freeway.
Paramedics with the Stockton Fire Department responded to help those injured in the traffic accident, but there are no further details at this time.
Tow trucks removed the two damaged vehicles from the crash scene.
The investigation into the Stockton motorcycle accident is ongoing.
