SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2022) — Suzanne Thompson, 59, of Henderson, Nevada, is one of three people killed in a head-on crash on Mission Avenue in San Diego.

The two-vehicle crash occurred about 3:08 p.m. on Oct. 29th in the 2900 block of Mission Avenue, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.

The collision took place when a driver in a Ford SUV carrying three people crossed from southbound lanes into northbound lanes and crashed head-on with a Kia SUV occupied by three people including Suzanne Thompson.

Thompson was riding in the right back seat of the Kia SUV and she was wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the Ford SUV, Andrew Paul Small, 62, of San Diego, and his passenger and wife, Mary Elizabeth Small, 70, also died in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
