3 Injured in Taft Crash on Highway 33
TAFT, Calif. (Dec. 2, 2022) — A Taft car accident on Highway 33 near Wood Street happened Tuesday night between two motorists.
The collision occurred about 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 29th, according to the Taft Midway Driller.
The drivers of a Toyota Camry and a Saturn Vue collided due to unknown circumstances, the report said. The two vehicles suffered major damage in the collision.
Paramedics responded to help three people who suffered minor to moderate injuries. They transported all three people from the Toyota to Bakersfield hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
None of the passengers from the Saturn reported injuries.
Authorities do not suspect alcohol or drugs are a factor in the crash.
Meanwhile, police closed down Highway 33 for roughly 20 minutes to clear the roadway.
Investigators continue to work on the case to determine fault for the Taft car accident on Highway 33.
