Firefighters Free Teen’s Hand from Escalator
SANTA ANA, Calif. (Aug. 1, 2022) — A teenage girl was injured Sunday night when her hand became stuck in an escalator hand rail at the Mail Place Mall in Santa Ana.
The incident occurred about 6:30 p.m. on July 31st at 2800 N. Main Street, according to the Orange County Fire Authority and The Patch.
OCFA firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene where they located the girl and spent roughly an hour cutting away machinery to free her from the escalator.
Paramedics transported the girl to a hospital after she was cut loose from the handrail.
There are no further details at this time.
