Pedestrian Hit on Highway 79 in Temecula
TEMECULA, Calif. (Sept. 28, 2022) – A Temecula pedestrian accident happened Wednesday morning on state Route 79 (Highway 79), just west of Pauba Road.
The minor-injury collision occurred about 4:59 a.m. on Sept. 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a westbound Dodge pickup truck struck a person who was standing outside of their crashed vehicle stopped on the side of the roadway. The pickup also hit the vehicle and caused it to crash into a ditch.
The red Dodge pickup truck that suffered major front-end damage. Tow trucks came to remove two of the damaged vehicles.
Meanwhile, the pedestrian suffered minor injuries in the collision. Paramedics with the Riverside County Department of Fire responded to the scene, but it’s unknown if the pedestrian was taken to a hospital.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Highway 79.
