Vehicle Strikes, Kills Man Near Stoddard Wells Road
Victorville, CA (September 10, 2022) – Tonatiuh Diaz, a 34-year-old man, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on State Highway 18.
The Victorville Valley News Group reported a vehicle struck a male party in the area of Highway 18 and Stoddard Wells Road. Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian was walking in the number one westbound lane of the highway. In the area near Stoddard Wells Road, a Nissan Altima hit the man.
Officials said the collision took place on September 8 at about 2:27 a.m.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Highway 18 in Victorville
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to the victim found lying on the ground. Paramedics rushed the injured pedestrian to a local hospital, where he later sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Authorities identified the fatal victim as Tonatiuh Diaz.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver involved in the horrible crash.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly pedestrian accident that happened on Highway 18 in Victorville.
