Woman Injured, Trapped in Car Under Huge Tree
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 9, 2023) – A woman was injured when a large tree branch fell on top of several vehicles on Huntington Drive in El Sereno.
The tree accident occurred around 6:55 p.m. in the 4800 block of Huntington Drive, near Eastern Avenue, according to a report by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The woman was reportedly backing out of a parking space when the tree branch fell down onto her car and two parked cars, KTLA 5 News reports. Her two children managed to climb out of the black Nissan sedan, but she was trapped.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and cut away the massive tree branch to free the woman trapped in her vehicle.
By 8:45 p.m., the woman was finally free and she was taken by ambulance to a hospital. She was listed in stable condition before being released.
The Los Angeles Police Department was investigating the fallen tree incident.
