4 Injured in Crash on Highway 49 Near Tuttletown School Road
TUOLUMNE COUNTY, CA (May 19, 2023) – Several were injured after a crash on Highway 49 near Tuttletown School Road in Tuolumne County.
According to an article published by My Mother Lode, the accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck on May 19 at around 5:50 p.m.
The incident happened when two pickup trucks collided head-on for an unknown reason in the Tuttletown area of Tuolumne County.
2 Cars Collide
The California Highway Patrol said the cars crashed on Highway 49 near Tuttletown School Road. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of four people hurt.
One victim sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. An air ambulance then flew that patient to a hospital for treatment.
The two parties ended up suffering from moderate injuries while the fourth person survived with minor injuries. The report did not release the names of the wounded individuals and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced southbound Highway 49 to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Tuttletown crash is still under investigation.
