SUV Crashes Under Semi-Truck on Highway 99 in Turlock
TURLOCK, Calif. (May 20, 2022) — A driver in a gray SUV reportedly crashed into a semi-truck on Highway 99 in Turlock.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes about 1:27 p.m. on May 20th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials say the big rig truck was stopped on the right shoulder. It’s unknown why the SUV crashed into the back of and truck and became wedged underneath it. The collision took place near the Lander Avenue off ramp.
The Turlock City Fire Department responded with paramedics to help those hurt in the crash. At least one person suffered major injuries from the accident.
An ambulance transported the victim or victims to a hospital for further treatment.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine liability.
