2-Vehicle Car Accident on I-5 and 55 Freeways
TUSTIN, Calif. (Feb. 14, 2024) — A two-vehicle crash in Tustin happened Wednesday morning on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway at the transition to the southbound Costa Mesa 55 Freeway.
The collision occurred at around 9:22 a.m. on Feb. 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a black BMW and a silver Ford Focus were involved and one of the vehicles was “totaled.”
Paramedics responded to help anyone injured in the crash, but there are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, tow trucks came to remove at least one vehicle blocking the No. 1 lane of the freeway.
Traffic investigators are working to determine fault for the Tustin crash on the 5 Freeway.
