Essence Ntchampo, 21, Fatal Crash on Vintage Park Drive
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — Two people are dead and a third suffered major injuries in a solo crash at Vintage Park Drive and Kirkton Court.
The high-speed collision occurred about 4 a.m. on Monday morning in front of a home on Vintage Park Drive, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.
Essence Joyce-Tena Ntchampo, 21, of Sacramento, was reportedly driving the vehicle at a high rate of speed prior to crashing into a fence in front of the home, KCRA reports.
The young woman died at the scene of the crash, but her two passengers were both taken to a hospital. The man seated in the front seat of the vehicle later died at the hospital. Paramedics also transported a second man to the hospital. He was riding in the back of the car and suffered major injuries. The names of the two passengers from the vehicle were not released.
Investigators are working on the case to determine what happened, but initial findings do not suggest drugs or alcohol were involved.
Meanwhile, the vehicle involved was a rental car with Florida license plates.
