San Jacinto Car Accident on Ramona Expressway
SAN JACINTO, Calif. (April 5, 2024) — Venus Angel Aguilar, 36, of San Jacinto, died Thursday morning in a four-vehicle crash that left five others injured on the Ramona Expressway and San Jacinto Avenue.
The deadly crash occurred just before 7:38 a.m., on Thursday, April 4th at the San Jacinto intersection, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Police reported four vehicles were “heavily damaged” in the traffic accident.
Riverside County firefighters responded and extricated two of the victims from the wreckage, officials said.
Venus Aguilar, who was driving one of the vehicles, was one of those trapped and she unfortunately died at the scene.
Meanwhile, two other people were seriously injured and two had minor injuries. Paramedics transported all four of them to a regional trauma center.
There were also three others evaluated by paramedics on the scene, but they did not need to go to a hospital.
Finally, the cause of the crash remains under investigation by the San Jacinto Traffic Reconstruction Team and witnesses may contact the sheriff’s San Jacinto station at 951-654-2702.
