Rollover Crash on State Highway 78 in Vista
VISTA, Calif. (June 17, 2022) — A pickup truck overturned Friday on the eastbound state Highway 78 near Emerald Drive in Vista.
The collision occurred about 11:36 a.m. on June 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a dark gray Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, a Gray Hyundai Sonata and a semi-truck were stopped after the crash. The pickup truck overturned onto its side during the crash and the vehicles blocked the slow lane.
The SUV allegedly struck the pickup truck, which overturned onto its right side during the crash. A semi truck was blocking the slow lane.
A male from one of the vehicles suffered a broken arm in the crash.
Paramedics and firefighters responded to the scene to help those involved. They extricated a woman trapped in one of the vehicles and that vehicle was leaking fluids.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault.
