3-Vehicle Collision Involving Semi-Truck on I-605 Freeway
WHITTIER, Calif. (Feb. 14, 2024) — A multi-vehicle crash in Whittier happened Wednesday morning on the Interstate 605 Freeway near Peck Road.
The collision, involving a semi-truck and two vehicles, occurred at around 8:40 a.m. on Feb. 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the vehicles involved were a white Honda Civic, a red Toyota and a semi-truck. They were blocking the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes after the crash.
The driver of the Toyota was stuck in their vehicle and had to exit through their passenger door after the collision, the CHP reported. Both cars were undrivable and had to be towed from the freeway.
Paramedics responded to help those injured, but there are no further details.
Traffic investigators are working to determine fault for the Whittier crash on the 605 Freeway.
