2 Killed, 1 Hurt in Pedestrian Crash at 3rd and Mission Streets
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (May 23, 2022) – Willa Henderson, 31, and Mary Henderson, 72, both from Vero Beach, Florida, died in a San Francisco pedestrian accident near 3rd and Mission streets.
The deadly crash occurred about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 22nd, in the Yerba Buena Center, according to the SF Gate and ABC 7 News.
The driver of a taxi and another vehicle collided at the intersection due to unknown circumstances.
The driver of the taxi went off the roadway and up onto a sidewalk just outside of a business. The yellow cab struck the two women and a male pedestrian on the sidewalk.
Firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene near the Yerba Buena Center. The two Florida women suffered major injuries and died following the collision.
Meanwhile, they transported the injured male pedestrian to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Also, the taxi cab driver also went to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The cause of the fatal San Francisco pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
