 William Alfred Way Fatal Oceanside Pedestrian Accident Mission Avenue

Man Struck, Killed in Oceanside is Identified by Coroner

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (April 24, 2024) — William Alfred Way, 60, died Monday night in a pedestrian accident on Mission Avenue, just west of Ocean Puente in Oceanside.

The fatal traffic accident occurred at about 9 p.m. on April 15th, according to the Oceanside Police Department and the Times of San Diego.

Oceanside police responded to the crash scene where an westbound gold Nissan Murano struck the pedestrian as he was crossing the roadway roughly 100 yards west of Ocean Puente, the report said.

Paramedics responded to the scene to help the injured man, but unfortunately he died at the scene. The San Diego Medical Examiner later identified him as William Alfred Way.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Mission Avenue in Oceanside.
