Woman Critically Injured in Fall Out of Party Bus
NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (August 30, 2021) — A woman hurt on a party bus suffered major injuries Saturday night when she fell out of an emergency exit as the vehicle traveled northbound on the Interstate 5 Freeway.
The major-injury incident happened about 8:10 p.m. on August 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman was traveling with a group of young adults aboard the Top Dog Limo Bus. She reportedly got up to use the restroom and opened the rear emergency door by accident. That’s when she fell out into traffic lanes.
Woman Hurt in Fall onto Freeway
Some Good Samaritans helped the injured woman in the roadway until paramedics and police arrived. She was transported to a hospital hospital for further treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, the incident took place as the bus driver was on route to pick up other members of the party.
Police conducted a field sobriety test on the limo bus driver, but no drugs or alcohol were detected.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
