Wrong-Way Driver Crash on Hollywood (101) Freeway
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (February 14, 2022) – A wrong-way driver crash involving multiple vehicles on the Hollywood (101) Freeway happened Monday afternoon near the Sunset Boulevard off ramp.
The California Highway Patrol reported up to ten motorists were involved in the 11:58 a.m. crash.
The wrong-way driver was traveling south in the northbound lanes of the freeway when the vehicle collided with the other motorists. Paramedics responded to the scene to help those injured in the Hollywood 101 Freeway crash.
One of the vehicles, a silver Toyota Prius, suffered major front-end damage in the crash. Firefighters extricated the adult male driver and transported him by ambulance to Cedars Sinai Medical Center for a minor to moderate leg injury. Two other people also suffered injuries in the collision.
Tow trucks responded to remove at least three of the vehicles.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case and will determine if any charges will be filed against the wrong-way driver.
