Police Pursuit Crash Ends in Eight Injured
MURRIETA, Calif. (March 5, 2024) — Eight people were hurt after a police pursuit ended in a crash at Jackson Avenue and Nutmeg Street in Murrieta.
Three of the people suffered major injuries in the traffic accident at around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5th, according to the San Bernardino Sun.
Murrieta Fire & Rescue responded and had to extricate two people who were trapped in one of the cars, the report said.
Five others were treated at a hospital for minor injuries.
One of the vehicles involved was reportedly stolen and police were attempting to stop the driver, but they sped off and a chase ensued, police said.
The Murrieta Police Department is heading up the investigation.
