2 Killed in Head-on Crash in San Jose on Bailey Avenue
SAN JOSE, Calif. (Nov. 10, 2021) — Vincent Burgos Sr., 86, and Rosaline Burgos, 86, both died Friday morning in a head-on San Jose crash on Bailey Avenue.
The Morgan Hill residents died when their pickup truck reportedly drifted into oncoming traffic on Bailey Avenue, according to San Jose police and The Mercury News.
The deadly collision happened at 10:13 a.m. just east of Monterey Road near Highway 101, police said.
Investigators report Vincent Burgos Sr. was the driver of a 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck traveling westbound on Bailey Avenue. For unknown reasons, the truck veered across double-yellow lines in the roadway and entered the eastbound lanes, police said.
Shortly after, the pickup truck crashed into an eastbound 2019 BMW. The man driving the BMW survived with unknown injuries and was hospitalized.
Sadly, Rosaline Burgos died at the scene and Vincent Burgos Sr. died at the hospital.
Both people were later identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
