Pickup, Jeep Collide in Rollover Crash on Costa Mesa (55) Freeway
SANTA ANA, Calif. (Feb. 8, 2022) — A pickup versus car rollover crash on the southbound Costa Mesa (55) Freeway happened Tuesday, just south of Dyer Road in Santa Ana.
The crash happened about 8:56 a.m. on Feb. 8th when a gray Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck came off the northbound side of the 55 Freeway and collided with a Jeep in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes. The Jeep overturned onto its side upon impact with the truck, the California Highway Patrol said.
Some good Samaritans stopped to help the female driver in the Jeep. Meanwhile, the truck pulled over to the right shoulder.
Police issued a SigAlert due to multiple lanes blocked by vehicles.
Paramedics responded to the scene to transport at least one person injured in the crash to Orange County Global Medical Center.
There are no further details about the car crash on the 55 Freeway at this time.
Investigators working on the case will determine fault.
