 Derek Grover II Fatal Motorcycle Accident Euclid Avenue in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (April 15, 2024) —Derek Craythorn Grover, II, 35, of San Diego, died in a motorcycle accident April 6th at Euclid Avenue and Lyon Street in San Diego.

The deadly crash occurred at around 7:25 p.m. between the motorcyclist and a GMC pickup truck, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.

Derek Grover was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Euclid Avenue when he collided into the right side of the northbound pickup truck. The pickup truck driver had crossed into the path of the motorcycle rider to turn left onto Lyon Street, the report said.

The motorcyclist was thrown off the bike into the roadway. Meanwhile, a witness called 911 for help and paramedics rushed the injured man to the emergency room at Scripps Mercy Hospital where he died upon arrival, the report said.

The case remains under investigation by the San Diego Police Department.
