Man Seriously Injured in Hit-and-run Crash in El Cajon
EL CAJON, Calif. (April 17, 2024) — A driver struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway taking photos after an El Cajon traffic accident on West Washington Avenue.
The major-injury crash occurred at around 10:20 p.m. on April 16th, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
The injured man was a driver involved in an earlier collision when he reportedly exited his vehicle. The victim was attempting to take photographs of damage to his vehicle when he was hit by a driver in an eastbound white or silver pickup truck, the report said.

Paramedics responded and transported the injured person to a hospital due to very serious injuries, police said.
Meanwhile, witnesses told authorities the suspect in the light-colored pickup truck fled eastbound on Washington Avenue and the vehicle has a missing passenger mirror and damage on its passenger side.
