2 Killed in Head-on Crash on Cajon Boulevard (Historic Route 66)
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (April 27, 2023) — A fatal crash on Cajon Boulevard near Keenbrook Road happened Wednesday afternoon along the Cajon Pass.
Two-vehicles crashed head-on around 1:30 p.m. on April 26th in San Bernardino County, according to KTLA 5 News.
Both drivers died in the collision between a white pickup truck and a grey sedan. There were no other occupants in either vehicle.
Both the white pickup truck and the grey sedan had major front-end damage. The car also went off the roadway into a ditch.
The San Bernardino County Fire Department responded, but both motorists died upon impact.
Authorities closed down Cajon Boulevard in both directions for several hours.
A joint investigation is underway by the California Highway Patrol and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
