2-Vehicle Crash Near Success Lake Campground in Porterville
PORTERVILLE, Calif. (June 29, 2022) — A fatal crash on State Route Highway 190 happened Wednesday morning near the entrance to the Success Lake Campground at Success Valley Drive.
The two-vehicle collision occurred about 7:47 a.m. on June 29th in Tulare County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP dispatchers report the drivers of a red Chevrolet Tahoe SUV and a Toyota Corolla sedan collided when one of the vehicles allegedly drove through a stop sign at the intersection.
The Tulare County Fire Department responded to the scene where one person died and they transported a second person with minor injuries to a hospital.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the Porterville crash.
