Two Pedestrians Struck, Killed by Vehicles in Malibu
MALIBU, Calif. (April 5, 2021) – Two fatal Malibu pedestrian crashes happened Sunday night at the same time in the same stretch of Pacific Coast Highway.
The fatal Malibu crashes happened at 10:38 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway at Busch Drive, according to the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.
Two male pedestrians were struck by two different motorists. One of the pedestrians was possibly riding a bicycle and the other was on foot when the collisions took place.
Both drivers stopped and remained at the scene after the fatal Malibu pedestrian crashes, police said.
Meanwhile, there are few details about what happened last night, but the investigation is underway to determine fault got each collision. Unfortunately, Pacific Coast Highway is often the scene of serious and deadly pedestrian accidents.
The California Highway Patrol closed down all lanes of Pacific Coast Highway at Busch Drive. The roadway reopened by 4:47 a.m. the next morning.
