San Marcos Man, 39, Killed on I-15 Freeway in Miramar
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Sept. 19, 2022) — A fatal Miramar pedestrian accident happened Sunday morning on the Interstate 15 Freeway, just north of Miramar Road.
The deadly crash occurred about 4:10 a.m. on Sept. 18th, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
A 39-year-old man pulled over on the northbound I-15 Freeway after possibly, experiencing a mechanical problem. He stopped his vehicle and exited the car before he began walking on the freeway. However, an oncoming driver in a black Lexus sedan reportedly struck and killed him.
Police closed down several lanes of the freeway to investigate the crash.
Meanwhile, police determined that the driver of the Lexus was allegedly driving under the influence or alcohol and or drugs.
Authorities arrested the 23-year-old man following the crash.
Finally, the investigation into the collision is ongoing.
