Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Harbor Freeway
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 6, 2024) – A driver struck and killed a pedestrian in a traffic accident on the Harbor (110) Freeway in the South Los Angeles area.
Authorities responded to the crash scene at around 3:34 a.m. on March 6th, according to MyNewsLA and the California Highway Patrol.
Police officers located the person’s body in the southbound freeway’s traffic lanes at the Manchester Avenue on-ramp, the report said. There was also a silver pickup truck with damage to its front bumper stopped in traffic lanes.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, but their identity was not released pending notification of their next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP officials issued a SigAlert and closed down four southbound lanes of the freeway so they could investigate.
