Pedestrian Killed in Santa Clara Crash
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (October 19, 2021) – A fatal Santa Clara pedestrian accident happened Monday night at the intersection of Agnew Road and Garrity Way in Santa Clara, according to Santa Clara police.
Additionally, the crash happened at about 6:50 p.m. Monday, October 18, according to the Santa Clara Police Department.
Police reported the 30-year-old pedestrian was walking across Agnew Road between Lafayette Street and Garrity Way.
Also, the person was inside a marked crosswalk when a southbound vehicle struck them.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries in the Santa Clara accident. Paramedics with the Santa Clara Fire Department transported them to a local hospital. Sadly, the person later died of their injuries.
Meanwhile, the 67-year-old driver stopped following the collision. The unidentified motorist is cooperated with the authorities. Police investigating the crash did not suspect alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
