Bicyclist Struck, Killed on State Route 4 in Stockton
STOCKTON, Calif. (March 25, 2024) — A fatal Stockton bicycle accident happened early Sunday morning on the westbound Highway 4 near the Stanislaus Street off ramp.
The deadly collision occurred at around 1:04 a.m. on March 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A driver in a white Toyota Camry reportedly struck the male victim riding a bicycle due to unknown circumstances. The cyclist went down near the center divide of State Route 4 and the car and a driver in a pickup truck both stopped at the scene.
Someone called 911 for help and CHP deputies and Stockton Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene.
Unfortunately, the male riding the bicycle sustained major injuries and died at the scene of the Stockton accident.
The driver involved in the crash cooperated with authorities and the investigation into the Stockton bicycle accident on Highway 4.
Finally, the identity of the person who died will be released after his relatives are notified.
