
VISALIA, Calif. March 21, 2023) — A man was killed Tuesday morning in a fatal dog attack at a Visalia business, Jack & Jeff Transfer Co., on South Santa Fe Street.
The vicious dog attack happened around 7:48 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21st at the business located in the 2300 block of S. Santa Fe Street near Walnut Avenue, according to the Visalia Police Department.
Paramedics responded and located the man suffering from major bite injuries and transported him to a hospital.
However, the man later died at the hospital due to severe injuries.
The name and age of the victim is unknown at this time.
Meanwhile, the report did not mention if authorities were able to apprehend the dog or dogs involved. Also, the report did not mention what breed of dog or dogs were involved.
Investigators with the Visalia Police Department Violent Crimes Unit are working on the case. They will determine if any criminal charges will be filed against the owner of the animal or the business where it happened. Also, the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health is at the scene.
Just two weeks ago, a 42-year-old Riverside man died when he was attacked by four dogs at a business where he was working in Jurupa Valley.
