
Amador County, Calif. (Jan. 30, 2023) — A head-on crash occurred Monday on State Route Highway 88 near Ousby Road in Bonnefoy, Amador County.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 2 p.m. on Jan. 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers reported the drivers of a blue Subaru and a white SUV are involved in the wreck. One of the vehicles caught on fire during the collision, police said.
CAL Fire sent paramedics and firefighters to the scene. At least one person suffered major injuries in the collision and was taken to a hospital.
Meanwhile, both vehicles required tow trucks due to heavy damage.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the crash.
The crash on Highway 88 in Bonnefoy remains under investigation.
