Rollover Crash on I-5 Freeway at Barranca Parkway in Irvine
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 9, 2021) — An Irvine crash happened Thursday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway at Barranca Parkway.
Two vehicles collided about 5:43 a.m. on Sept. 9th in the northbound lanes of the freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported a black Ford F-150 pickup truck overturned in the slow lane of the freeway.
The vehicle collided with a Hyundai sedan and the vehicles blocked the Nos. 4 and 5 lanes. Police did not mention what led up to the collision between the two motorists.
Authorities issued a SigAlert for the freeway just north of Barranca Parkway for roughly 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to treat those hurt in the crash, but there is no further information.
Police will determine the cause of the Irvine crash on Interstate 5. Witnesses may contact the California Highway Patrol.
