Woman Killed in Montebello Pedestrian Accident
MONTEBELLO, Calif. (March 24, 2022) — Marissa Barriga, 32, died in a Montebello pedestrian accident Tuesday night at Garfield Avenue and Hay Street.
The deadly crash happened about 9:46 p.m. on March 24th, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner.
The woman was struck in the roadway due to unknown circumstances, police said.
She suffered blunt force trauma and died at the scene. Meanwhile, the motorist involved stopped and is cooperating with authorities. There are no charges filed against the driver at this time.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault.
