Major Injury Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 205 Freeway
MOUNTAIN HOUSE, Calif. (May 5, 2022) — A motorcycle crash happened early Thursday on the Interstate 205 Freeway near the Mountain House Parkway on ramp.
The collision occurred in the westbound lanes of the I-205 about 6:33 a.m. on May 5th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A witness told CHP officials the motorcycle rider was traveling at a high rate of speed on the freeway, but that remains under investigation. The bike reportedly crashed with a blue Honda Accord due to unknown reasons. The bike slid across multiple lanes of the freeway before it came to a stop. The rider suffered major injuries in the collision.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured motorcycle rider to a hospital, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the bike from the crash scene.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the motorcycle crash. Witnesses are asked to contact the CHP.
