
Motorcyclist Injured in Car Accident in Rio Vista
RIO VISTA, Calif. (April 18, 2024) — A motorcycle versus car accident happened Wednesday night at Highway 160 and Highway 12 near the Rio Vista Bridge.
The motorcycle crash happened at around 7:57 p.m. on April 17th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities are working on the case to determine what led up to the two-vehicle collision between the motorcyclist and a white sedan that left the rider with major injuries.
The Rio Vista Fire Department responded and requested a helicopter to transport the injured motorcyclist to a trauma center, fire officials said.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the car with major front-end damage and the motorcycle with unknown damage from the collision.
The California Highway Patrol and Rio Vista Police Department are heading up the investigation into what happened and will determine fault for the motorcycle accident on Highway 160 and Highway 12.
