Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-215 Freeway in Riverside
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (March 6, 2024) — A multi-vehicle car accident occurred Wednesday morning on the Escondido 215 Freeway, just north of Alessandro Boulevard in Riverside.
The five-vehicle collision occurred at around 6:26 a.m. on March 6th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a black Ford Flex, a white Ford F-150 pickup truck, a white Chevrolet Spectrum and two other vehicles were involved. The drivers were involved in a crash in the middle lanes of the northbound 215 Freeway, the report said.
Police issued a SigAlert due to the crash blocking several freeway lanes and tow trucks removed at least three of the vehicles from the roadway.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries, but there are no further details at this time.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the accident on the 215 Freeway in Riverside.
