3-Vehicle Collision on I-80 Freeway in Vacaville
VACAVILLE, Calif. (March 6, 2024) — A wrong-way driver crash involving three vehicles happened Wednesday morning on the eastbound Interstate 80 Freeway in Vacaville.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred at around 6:30 a.m. on March 6th, near the Peabody Road off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a Ford Explorer SUV, a white Chevrolet PG & E truck and a white Honda Accord sedan were involved. One of the vehicles was reportedly traveling the wrong way and collided with the other vehicles.
Debris was scattered all over the roadway and police issued a SigAlert.
Paramedics responded from the Vacaville Fire Department to help the injured and transported at least one person to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center.
Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working to determine liability for the crash on the 80 Freeway in Vacaville.
