2-Vehicle Crash at Entrance to San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge
OAKLAND, Calif. (Feb. 15, 2024) — A yellow cab and a car collided Thursday morning in a crash on the westbound I-80 Freeway near the Bay Bridge entrance and Toll Plaza Road in Oakland.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at around 7:40 a.m. on Feb. 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the driver of the Yellow Cab crashed into the white Toyota Corolla occupied by a woman and two children. It happened in the HOV lane, just west of the Toll Plaza at the entrance to the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge.
The vehicles pulled over and paramedics from the Oakland Fire Department responded to help those injured in the collision.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the collision. It was the second crash on the Bay Bridge this morning, following an earlier fatal collision near Treasure Island.
